Windsurfing in Limassol, Cyprus
The location of our station in Limassol, Cyprus is perfect for teaching windsurfing. Our long sandy beach and wind-protected near-shore zone are the best conditions for first steps into windsurfing. However, once you pass the wind-protection of the marina wall, you find yourself in windy and wavy conditions which would excite both intermediates and advanced windsurfers.
The wind is mostly western cross-shore and, according to the windfinder.com statistics, blows over 4 boforts nearly 50% of the time. This makes about 10-12 knots and this wind is particularly well-suited for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Usually, the wind does not start until 11-12 am. Before that the water is flat as a table providing excellent conditions for wakeboarding and waterskiing. But then after 12 the wind tap is switched on and blows until 6-7 I the afternoon – blessed time for windsurfers, sailors and kiters.
The water is not as salty as it is in the Red sea in Egypt, and we do not have “the pleasures” of coral reefs and other unsafe fauna and flora. Which makes our waters perfectly safe. One can even go swimming at night and yet be perfectly safe. We also have a sandy shallow spot on our beach – a perfect place to learn waterstart. For kites during all months, apart fro June-July period, there is a separate spot.
We have the modern and proven teaching methods and make our instructors get better in teaching approach. We can take you from any level of windsurfing and help you progress rapidly. A beginner would be able to feel rather comfortably on the board after only 3-4 hours of instruction. We certainly prefer 1-to-1 teaching approach as the most efficient way to teach but can do small groups of 2-3 people.

Kitesurfing in Limassol, Cyprus
Kitesurfing uses wind power to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard (which is like a wakeboard). Generally kiteboarding refers to a style of riding known as free-style or wakestyle where as kitesurfing is more waveriding oriented. These two styles usually require different boards and specific performance kites. A kitesurfer or kiteboarder uses a board with or without foot-straps or bindings, combined with the power of a large controllable kite to propel him- or herself and the board across the water. Many riding styles have evolved to suit different types of riders and conditions, such as wakestyle, waveriding, freestyle, jumping, and cruising.
We provide courses and lessons to teach various skills including kite launching, flying, landing, usage of the bar, lines and safety devices. We use proven and tested approach to teach kitesurfing. Our instructors competed professionally and can help both beginners and intermediate kitesurfers. We don’t hurry up and teach progressively, step-by-step.
We start by teaching on the beach and then moving to water. We prefer individual lessons as the most productive way to get people onboard. We also do groups of 2-3 people.

Ideal flat water in the mornings is a dream of any wakeboarder
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water behind a boat. It was developed through a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques. The rider is towed behind a boat or a cable park; typically at speeds of 18-24 miles per hour, depending on water conditions, rider´s weight, board size and most importantly, the rider´s personal preference. Using edging techniques, the rider can move outside of the wake or cut rapidly in toward the wake. Jumps are performed by hitting the wake and launching into the air. This can also be done by hitting a kicker (a jump). Once a rider improves in the sport, he or she can progress to tricks high in the air. As the rope tightens the rider gains speed toward the wake. When the rider goes airborne, the tightened rope launches him. While in the air the rider does tricks.
Wakesurfing
Wakesurfing is a water sport in which a surfer trails behind an inboard ski boat, surfing the boat´s wake without being directly attached to the boat. A tow line is used to get up out of the water and started on the steep wave just behind the Boat. Once "locked in" the tow rope is tossed inboard and riders surf on a endless wave only to stop when they wash off or until the boat runs out of gas. The wake from the boat mimics the look and feel of an actual ocean wave. Surfs up!
Wakeskating
Wakeskating is a water sport and an adaptation of wakeboarding. Unlike wakeboarding, the rider is not bound to the board in any way, which gives the sport its own unique challenges. Instead, the top surface of the board is covered with griptape, (in a similar fashion to a skateboard) or a soft, high-traction, foam covering that is kinder to riders in the inevitable crashes. Riders usually wear shoes while riding to afford themselves extra purchases on the board, similar to skateboarding. The speed which you wakeskate at behind a motor boat is generally 16 – 20 miles per hour. But this depends on things like water conditions, rider’s weight and if they are just learning or advanced in the sport.
